When Ferrari introduced the 550 Maranello in 1996, it was instantly recognized as a modern classic, channeling the spirit of the Daytona with its elegant, timeless silhouette. Its successor, the 575M Maranello, built on that foundation with more refined aerodynamics, larger brakes, and a more powerful 5.7-liter V12. From this platform came the ultimate evolution in 2005: the Superamerica. It debuted Ferrari's ingenious "Revocromico" glass roof, a rotating panel that transformed the car from coupe to open-top grand tourer in seconds. With 540 CV and a 320 km/h top speed, it was the fastest open Ferrari of its time.
The example offered here is one of just 599 built and was delivered new in Switzerland on 3 August 2005. Finished in Rosso Corsa, the car was specified with 19-inch BBS Modular wheels, Giallo-finished calipers, and fender mounted "Scuderia Ferrari" shields. Inside, the cabin combines Crema leather across the seats, doors, and console with Nero leather accents on the upper dash, steering wheel, and carpets. The tachometer accents the interior and pulls from the brakes with its matching Giallo finish. An optional F1 transmission completes the specification.
Today, this Superamerica presents beautifully, having accumulated fewer than 14,000 kilometers at cataloging. Retained in the care of a single Swiss collector for the past 11 years, it benefits from both long-term custodianship and low mileage. As noted by the consigning Broad Arrow Group specialist at the time of consignment, both the Revocromico and top function just as Ferrari intended. With its front-engine V12, Pininfarina styling, limited production, and signature rotating roof, this Superamerica stands out as one of the finest available, and is the ideal choice for collectors seeking rarity, performance, and innovation in one.
