In 1966, hobby magazine compared the safety-oriented Rover 2000 TC and Volvo 144 S saloons. In the spirit of "our ideal car is the safe car", tester Heinz Kranz was enthusiastic about the two vehicles. The restored and newly edited original test looks back to 1966 and the two rivals from Volvo and Rover.
With the P6, known as the Rover 2000, Rover created a truly innovative and durable saloon, which was named the first "Car of the Year" in 1964.
