From 1991 to 1998, Opel built the Astra F, which was the first Kadett to no longer bear the traditional name. Once again there was a GSi model and, as with the predecessor Kadett E, the two-liter engine with 16 valves produced 150 hp and made the Astra GSi 220 km/h fast. This vehicle report describes the successful Astra GSi model, shows it in contemporary pictures and places it in the context of the competition at the time.
