When car enthusiasts think of the products of the Swabian luxury company Mercedes-Benz from the 1920s and 1930s, the models that usually spring to mind are those that, like the 500K, were in the absolute luxury class or, like the SSK, battled for victory and prestige on racetracks all over the world. But there were vehicles from Sindelfingen in a lower class, such as the W142 series. This report looks back at the 320 built from 1937 onwards and its various versions and shows them in many pictures.
