The Ford 17M of the P7 series was built from 1967 to 1971 and sold a good 570,000 units, not enough to displace the competition from Opel. Today, well-preserved models of the P7 series are a rarity; this report shows a Ford 17M 1700S Turnier from the first year of production.
The magazine 'hobby' compared two completely different saloons in 1968, the Renault 16 TS from France and the Ford 17 M RS from Germany. While the Renault was made sporty with classic and careful tuning, the Ford was a modular car, but also one that had it all.
