Between 1954 and 1964, Jean C. Daninos built the extravagant Facel-Vega with a V8 engine as a coupé and, in small doses, also as a convertible. With this luxury Gran Turismo, he followed in the footsteps of the great French brands Delage, Delahaye and even Bugatti. Equipped with American V8 engines, the cars were of high quality but also very expensive, which limited sales to a few hundred units. This report portrays a Facel-Vega FV3 from 1957 and explains the ten-year development history.
