The British Motor Corporation (BMC for short) was a British car manufacturer that was formed in 1952 from the merger of the Austin Motor Company and the Nuffield Organisation, became British Motor Holdings Limited in 1966 through further mergers and merged with the Leyland Motor Corporation (LMC) in 1968 to form the British Leyland Motor Corporation (BLMC).
