For the twelfth time, Bonhams auctioned a number of vehicles up to and including 1904 on October 30, 2015 on the occasion of the London to Brighton Run, i.e. cars that could be used next year to take part in the legendary drive from London to the tourist resort of Brighton. The lot list included 12 cars from the early days of motoring alongside many automobilia. Dating from 1899 to 1904, they covered a period of just six years, but technically there were at least two drive concepts, namely gasoline and steam. The twelve cars were valued at almost two million pounds sterling, so an average of around £162,000 was expected per vehicle lot.
