You have to hand it to the Auctionata makers, they always try something new. For auction number 499 on April 22, 2016, they had a specialist from Sachverständigenzentrum Berlin in the studio to explain the condition of the cars on offer instead of Johannes Hübner, who had been invited most of the time in the past. They even jacked up some of the vehicles to show the underside (and had them lowered again loudly). The expert also pointed out some damage and other defects in the cars, but without really giving them a bad name. Fabian Markus lifted the hammer as auctioneer, Georg Untersalmberger explained the vehicles in the second television studio. Exactly 40 cars with a total value of two million euros were presented to the audience, including 11 Mercedes-Benz and 11 Porsche.
