"Fabrik elektr. Fahrzeuge A. Tribelhorn & Cie" - this inscription was found on two buildings in Feldbach between Stäfa and Rapperswil on Lake Zurich from 1902. Although Tribelhorn was an isolated case among Swiss car manufacturers, there were still significant electric car factories in Germany and especially in the USA. The quiet, smoke-free running still spoke in favor of this type of drive, but a higher price and a short range between recharging the batteries had to be accepted. The very first Tribelhorn was a small car with front-wheel drive. Later, Tribelhorn was based on the design of conventionally powered cars with a front hood, even though the electric drive unit had now been moved to the rear.
