Preview (beginning of the article)
On January 19 and 20, 2017, RM/Sotheby's representatives will welcome a hopefully strong buying public at the traditional Arizona auction around the Scottsdale weekend. 152 vehicles, including two motorcycles and a children's car, will go under the hammer, with a total estimated value of USD 69 million (EUR 66 million, CHF 70 million), which means a median sale value of USD 453,000 (EUR 434,000, CHF 462,000) per lot. Once again, Ferrari accounted for the largest share of brands, followed by Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Porsche and Lamborghini. Overall, however, the brand distribution was broad, which was also demonstrated by veritable exotics such as Amphicar, DAF, Facel, Isotta Fraschini, Oakland and Tucker.
