Summary
57 almost exclusively white Porsches (including two red tractors) and five other vehicles were auctioned by RM/Sotheby's on December 1 and 2, 2023 in Houston (Texas). In addition to the cars, there were also around 500 Porsche automobilia and spare parts for sale. With the exception of one car, all vehicles were sold for a total of USD 29.5 million, with an average of USD 537,000 paid per Porsche. But not all of them were able to shine. This auction review analyzes the results and shows all the cars in pictures.

Preview (beginning of the article)
The non-color "white" has always been popular for Porsche sports cars; in many cases it was even the typical racing paint finish, albeit interspersed with stripes (Martini). So it should come as no surprise that an American primarily collected Porsches in white. It is more surprising that he put them in his elegant garage, but hardly ever drove them. Now the collector had obviously had enough and put a large selection of his cars on the market via RM/Sotheby's. On December 1 and 2, 2023, 55 Porsche sports and racing cars, two tractors and five non-brand products went under the hammer in Houston (TX) alongside around 500 Porsche automobiles (from steering wheels and sales literature to clothing and bicycles). The total value of the vehicles was previously estimated at around USD 31.5 million. Each car was therefore expected to fetch over USD 507,000.
