Summary
RM Sotheby's auctioned 63 automobiles and a few automobilia as part of London Motor Week on November 1, 2025. Almost four-fifths of the vehicles were sold for an average of £ 470,000, the most expensive being very young and one very old vehicle. Some super classics surprisingly stayed put or were sold at unexpectedly low prices. This auction review analyzes the results and shows all the vehicles in the picture.

Preview (beginning of the article)
On November 1, 2025, RM Sotheby's auctioned 63 cars and a few automobilia as part of London Motor Week around the London-to-Brighton Run. The vehicles were valued at around £36 million in total, with just over a third being offered without a reserve price. The average age of over 72 years showed that this was a "somewhat different" auction. In fact, 27 of the cars were pre-war vehicles. Of these, a dozen were built before 1905, making them suitable for the veteran race from London to Brighton. All of these early cars except a Humber 10/12 HP from 1904 were sold. However, the highest bid was on average only 72% of the median estimate.
