David Gooding's auction house has been the official auction partner of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elégance since Gooding & Co was founded many years ago, and Charlie Ross has been swinging his hammer for Gooding for just as long. On August 16 and 17, 2024, it was time again and 184 cars worth over USD 222 million were looking for new buyers. 55 percent of these were offered without a reserve price. In the end, 147 cars (80%) were sold, with the new owners paying an average of USD 690,743. It was mainly highly valued cars that were left standing. The bidders showed a great deal of interest and went for an average of 82% of the median estimate.
