Bernhard Taeschler was President of the Swiss Historic Vehicle Federation SHVF from 2015 to 2024 and is now Honorary President. He is a former President of the Automobil Club der Schweiz Sektion Mitte and has been organizing the Micro-Car Meeting, the largest of its kind in Europe, every four years for 50 years. One of the aims of the umbrella organization SHVF is to secure the future of the classic vehicle. This includes the necessary laws, the know-how and, last but not least, the people who are involved in this field and want to secure their knowledge so that they can pass it on one day. No wonder, then, that the former president has given this all kinds of thought - and has also come up with some highly unusual solutions, which he has sent in a letter to friends and key players in the Swiss classic car scene.
