Classic car gallery auction Gstaad 2023 - Fiat Panda and Ferrari four-seater in demand
Summary
The Gstaad auction of the Oldtimer Galerie Toffen took place for the sixth time. On December 29, 2023, 45 cars, a tractor and three motorcycles were offered for sale. 53% were sold outright and a further 14% under reserve. Surprises were provided by cars that do not usually shine with brilliant results, such as three Ferrari coupés with four seats. However, the Fiat Panda 4x4 and a Mercedes-Benz 280 SL also sold well above expectations, while cars from Aston Martin, Porsche and Land Rover fared less well. This auction review describes the atmosphere on site, analyzes the results and shows the vehicles in pictures.

Two days before the end of each year, i.e. on 29 December, the Oldtimer Galerie Toffen organizes an auction in Gstaad. The festival tent in the glamorous winter sports resort offers space for around 50 classic cars. The auction of 45 cars, three motorcycles and a tractor began punctually at 4 p.m. on December 29, 2023 in front of a packed audience. Around four hours later, the hammer fell for the last time. In an exuberant atmosphere, Serge Stotzer and Beat Walti managed to keep the audience in check and kept the tension high even when "the Internet" was about to play a trick on the experienced auctioneers.
