Lutziger Classic Cars has been around for 37 years, and Koni Lutziger has become a classic car owner himself. Petrol is in his blood and, on the advice of a friend, he decided to train as a toolmaker at a young age, as he already knew more about motorcycles and their maintenance than some motorcycle mechanics. The knowledge he acquired later proved to be very valuable, especially when Lutziger entered motorsport and coached Bruno Kneubühler, among others, in his successes. In 1979, Koni Lutziger dared to make a new start and began to concentrate largely on cars. However, he was not breaking new ground here either, as he had already bought his first "cars" - two Morgan Threewheelers - at the age of sixteen, and at 18 he invested his apprentice's wages in a Graber-bodied Packard, which he had to buy in boxes (and later restored himself).
