Just a few days before the auction at the Silverstone Festival, Silverstone Auctions gave itself a new name, namely "Iconic Auctioneers". They were now an established company and needed their own name and not a borrowed one (Silverstone), especially as they did not only hold auctions at Silverstone. On August 25 and 26, 2023, however, they were back at Silverstone and auctioned 203 cars, about a quarter of which were racing cars, the rest road vehicles. It could not be said that the name changes triggered a surge in sales; in fact, only 48% of the vehicles were sold. The sales rate for racing cars was 39%, while for other cars it was 50%. On average, however, almost 78% of the expected value ("guide price") was offered, so there was no lack of basic interest.
