The Eifel Tour was held four times between 1923 and 1926, with each of the five laps being 33.2 km long. It took place on roads that were barely surfaced, so taking part was correspondingly dangerous. Almost a hundred years later, you have to search for the course of the circuit at that time, but the author of this article has gladly taken on this task and reports from a time when car races were still held on normal roads and through villages.
