Eagle 1988-1998 - special stamp
Summary
There were around 10,000 car brands and designers - most of them have disappeared. Eagle, Chrysler's "special brand" for the domestic market, can also be counted among these lost brands. Before the name became a brand, the Eagle was an American Motors Company (AMC) 4x4 station wagon until 1987. In 1987, Chrysler began producing the Premier under the Eagle brand. This was followed by several other models until the Eagle brand became redundant in 1998.

More recently, America's "big three" created "special stamps" (as they would say in philately) intended for the domestic market: General Motors created Saturn, Ford launched the Mercury brand and imported the Scorpio under that label, among others, and Chrysler created Eagle. There were also English Eagles, but the US Eagle was a 4×4 station wagon from American Motors (AMC) until 1987, before the name became a brand in its own right. In 1979, Renault decided to join the American Motors Company. AMC was already selling the Renault Le Car (Renault 5) at this time, followed by the Alliance (derivative of the Renault 9) in 1982, the Encore (Renault 11) in 1984 and the Medallion (Renault 21) in 1986.
