Summary
The auction of the Oldtimer Galerie Toffen on November 26 ended with a mixed result. Although almost 70% of the lots were sold, half of them were only sold with reservations. This was not due to the range on offer, which included many interesting vehicles, or the large number of visitors, but rather to the reluctance to bid and the lack of dynamism in the hall. This report shows the detailed results and gives an impression of the auction.

Preview (beginning of the article)
The little Adler Trumph Junior Sport from 1934 was the secret star of the Oldtimer Galerie Toffen auction on November 26, 2011. Although it stood modestly in the back corner of the auction room, it was not overlooked. It was only the last lot to be auctioned, but a real bidding war ensued. The auctioneer opened the bidding at CHF 27,000 and the bids came in quick succession: 28, 29, ...., 35, 36, 37. 35, 36, 37. The hammer only fell at 40,000, which was CHF 8,000 above the lower estimate and 6,000 above the upper estimate. And yet the little roadster was probably a good buy, as the previous owner had invested over CHF 60,000 in the pretty little pre-war vehicle.
