Summary
The third auction of the still young auction house Broad Arrow took place on November 18/19, 2022 in West Palm Beach. A total of 172 cars and nine motorcycles came under the hammer. The sales rate leveled off at 57 percent, with high-priced young classics in particular failing to make the cut, which is why the overall result was only around a third of expectations. A BMW M1 was the second most expensive car sold. This auction review analyzes the results of the auction and shows many of the vehicles in pictures.

Preview (beginning of the article)
This was the third auction held by the fledgling Broad Arrow auction house. On November 18 and 19, 2022, 172 automobiles and nine motorcycles as well as a trailer were offered at "The Palm Beach Convention Center" in West Palm Beach (Florida). The vehicles had been estimated in advance at just over USD 24 million. Around a quarter of the lots were offered without a reserve price. With an average age of 44 years, the vehicles were relatively young. Just four pre-war vehicles were on offer, all of which were American makes. 42 vehicles, however, were from the new millennium. The two-day public event was somewhat reminiscent of Mecum auctions. The cars were driven up and then briefly introduced. The two auctioneers, who took turns, started with a base bid, but lowered it until a bidder bit. The numbers were then raised in the usual auction chant until no more bids were received. The two rounds lasted around 2.5 to 3 hours.
