Summary
An entire collection was auctioned off by the still very young Broad Arrow auction house on October 14 and 15, 2022 in the state of New York. Jim Taylor had less than average taste and owned everything from a pre-war American pickup truck to a Jaguar D-Type, not to mention hundreds of automobiles. All but one of the 131 vehicles sold for a total of USD 21 million. This auction review analyzes the results and shows the cars in pictures.
This article contains the following chapters
- Except for one car all "No Reserve"
- Jaguar D-Type not sold
- One SL and many Shelbys among the most expensive cars
- Large swings in the bids

Preview (beginning of the article)
"Broad Arrow" is a new auction house that is probably not yet well known. However, the company with the somewhat unwieldy name made it straight into the big leagues of the auction business with its "inaugural auction" on August 18, 2022, when 90 cars were sold in Monterey for around USD 53 million, including valuable super classics (the results can be found in the Zwischengas auction database ). It is no coincidence that the first auction went so well, as there are many familiar faces behind Broad Arrow Auctions. Some have already been seen before at RM/Sotheby's. Hagerty also invested a lot of money in the company and has since taken it over almost completely.
