Until a few years ago, Bonhams was the official auction house of the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. The British auction house lost this honor, but Bonhams has continued to auction cars built before 1905 ever since. The auctions are always held at the headquarters on Bond Street. And in addition to 12 cars that could take part in the "run", at least in terms of year of manufacture, there were seven more that were at least very old and built before 1915. Because one car, a Humberette 6½ hp 'Royal Beeston' Two-seater from 1904, had already been sold before the auction, the offer that went under the hammer on Friday evening was reduced to 18 vehicles with a value of £ 1.58 million. In addition, a large number of automobilia from the early days of the automobile (and the bicycle) met with good demand.
