On October 7, 2019, Bonhams auctioned 48 vehicles worth around USD 3.15 million at the Simeone Foundation Automusem in Philadelphia, in addition to many automobilia. 38 of the 48 cars, i.e. 79%, were sold, three had already been withdrawn before the auction. The highest bids reached an average of 71% of the median estimate, and the median highest bid in absolute terms was USD 46,849. 60% of the lots went under the hammer without a minimum bid. Over 40% of the vehicles were from the period before the Second World War, and some were in high demand. For example, the buyer of a very early Ford Model "A" from 1903 (i.e. built before the Model T) paid USD 137,760 or around a quarter more than expected.
