Bonhams MPH July 2021 - a quick project before the next lockdown?
Summary
The Bonhams MPH auction takes place in Bicester every two months or so, and on July 17, 2021, it was that time again. 112 cars (including a tractor) were auctioned alongside a number of motorcycles and spare parts. 71 percent found a new owner directly, for an average of £ 19,773. Some restoration and refurbishment projects, such as an Opel Manta GT/E or a Jensen Interceptor, generated a lot of interest, but there were also some really affordable ready-to-use classics for sale. This auction report provides an insight, analyzes the results and shows many of the lots in pictures.

Preview (beginning of the article)
On July 17, 2021, the MPH auction took place in Bicester, as it does every other month. In front of a modest audience, but mainly online, 115 four-wheeled vehicles (plus some motorcycles, automobilia and the like) were auctioned off. In total, the vehicle lots were estimated at £ 2.8 million, so £ 25,583 was expected per car. As always at the MPH auctions, the focus was not on super classics and million-dollar values, but on classic cars and restoration projects. This is not to say that well-restored and fully drivable classic cars and youngtimers were available for purchase, on the contrary.
