Bonhams organized a small but fine auction under the name "Legends of the Road" on 19 February 2021 on New Bond Street in London. On offer were almost three dozen lots with spare parts - from speedometers to leaf springs - for rare pre-war cars, including a Bugatti 57/57S gearbox, which found a new owner for no less than £24,000. The parts auction lasted around an hour before five cars went under the hammer. The announced Ferrari 275 GTS from 1965 had already been sold before the auction began (at an undisclosed price), so Malcolm Barber was only allowed to swing his hammer over four pre-war cars and a post-war Jaguar. After half an hour, this part of the auction was already over.
