Bonhams has been holding an auction at the Audrain Concours in Newport, Rhode Island in the USA for several years now. On October 4, 37 cars, a motorcycle and some automobilia went under the hammer. The vehicles had been estimated in advance at around USD 5.65 million or 148,474 per lot. Around 60% of them were offered without a reserve price. 30 of the 38 vehicles were successfully brokered. The bidders paid an average of USD 122,448, although the bids were well below expectations at 70% compared to the median estimate. Bentley (5 cars), Mercedes-Benz (4), BMW and Jaguar (3 cars) were the most strongly represented in Newport (young).
