On February 26, 2016, the Berlin auction house Auctionata held an auction of 39 classic cars worth around EUR 2.4 million. Around 60% of the lots were knocked down, some with reservations, although the flagship Lotus Cortina and Citroën DS Cabriolet as well as Otto Mathé's Mercedes 300 SE have not (yet) found a new owner. Johannes Hübner said at the beginning of the Auctionata auction on February 26, 2016 at 18:00, which was held as usual as an online auction with live internet television and room bidders. On offer were 39 vehicles with a total estimated value of 2.4 million euros or 2.6 million Swiss francs, which indicated an average value of EUR 61,077 per car. The offer was broad and particularly characterized by nine Mercedes-Benz, four Ferrari, four Jaguar, three Alpina-BWM, three Porsche and three Volkswagen from the manufacturing countries Germany, Great Britain and Italy. The majority of the cars were built in the sixties, seventies and eighties. The vehicles came from a wide variety of countries, with Japanese and American consignments standing out.
