Preview (beginning of the article)
The German auction house auctionata held another auction of classic cars on May 4, 2015, a Monday no less. 39 vehicles, including a motorcycle, were offered, one of which had been withdrawn before the event. 100% of the 39 lots were knocked down, the total value of the vehicles knocked down was over 1.5 million euros. However, around 30% (12 in number) were only knocked down subject to reservation, as the limit could not be reached. Just over half of the buyers were from Germany, around 13% from Austria and the rest from various other countries. As with auctionata's previous car auctions, the vehicles on offer were again sold via live stream over the Internet. And this time too, bidders who preferred to be on site were able to take part in the auctionata studios in Berlin, even if they were only sitting in front of a screen, just like the Internet bidders.
