For the third time, the French auction house Artcurial organized an auction on 5 July 2014 on the occasion of the Le Mans Classic. 114 vehicles with a total value of around 17 million euros (20.5 million CHF) were listed in the catalog. The 1953 Jaguar Mk VII , which Beutler had outfitted as a convertible and which graced the stand at the Geneva Motor Show in 1953, was estimated at between 60,000 and 80,000 euros. Obviously too low, because the now white special body changed hands for Euro 160,900 or CHF196,298, more than double the estimated value. It was beaten only by a 1958 Aston Martin DB2/4 MKIII Cabriolet, which was worth 232% of the median estimate, i.e. Euro 602,000 or CHF 734,440, to its new owner.
