Photo Gallery «Artcurial André Lurton auction 2020 - underrated or overrated contemporary witnesses?»
47 automobiles and a further 33 military vehicles and tractors went under the hammer on September 27, 2020 in the west of France near Bordeaux. This was the collection of André Lurton, a war veteran and passionate winegrower who died in 2019 and who had set himself the goal of creating a collection of all the cars and commercial vehicles he and his family had been involved with over 100 years. The 49 road vehicles that are the focus of the evaluation had been estimated at EUR 676,000 in advance, but realized EUR 1.34 million in the sale, and as much as EUR 2.2 million for the entire collection. Up to 40 times the estimated price was paid. This auction report analyzes the results of the public auction and shows all the vehicles in pictures.
