They were available as the Arnolt-MG, Arnolt-Aston and Arnolt-Bristol - small series tailored to the US market, which were of the English chassis type. The originator, S. H. Arnolt, Inc., was based in Chicago and imported MG models to the eastern US states. At the 1952 Turin Motor Show, the Bertone coachbuilder presented a special spider and coupé version of the MG TD. Their shape, created with the help of designer Giovanni Michelotti, was miles away from the highly aged roadster contours of the MG Midget. Bertone then built 66 Arnolt MG Coupés and 36 Arnolt MG Spiders for Arnolt based on this model until May 1954.
