The type of combined car garages with workshops and dealer areas such as "Motorworld", "Meilenwerk", "Pantheon", "Car Lounge" or the "Classic Remise" have been springing up in recent years. Former disused factory buildings have been converted into living museums with event areas and redesigned at great expense. A prime architectural example is the "Classic Remise" in Düsseldorf. Opened in September 2006 in Harffstrasse, the Remise is predestined for this purpose by its architecture alone. The presentation of historic and classic vehicles, the open view into the service and restoration workshops, as well as the permanent exhibition of privately parked vehicles in the glass storage boxes, are perfectly integrated into the wonderful historic architecture.
