Summary
There were exactly 99 cars that RM/Sotheby's put under the hammer at the live auction in Amelia Island on the occasion of the Concours d'Elégance in front of a large audience on May 22, 2021. Cars from 12 decades worth around USD 41 million were looking for new owners, and 93 percent of them found them. On average, the highest bidders paid over USD 440,000 per car, the most expensive being a 1929 Duesenberg Model J, which went for USD 5.725 million, significantly more than expected. The Ferrari sports cars could not quite keep up, even though three of them fetched over USD 2 million.
