It was never enough for Lucy Schell to win. Now she no longer wants to get behind the wheel - but she is not retiring from the scene. She founded her own racing team - the Ecurie Bleue, just as the Swiss Nelly Braillard had done with the Ecurie Braillard in 1934. As a star driver, the millionairess recruited the long-distance driver René Le Bègue and for the 1937 Monte she entrusted the second Delahaye 135 S to her husband and Bugatti works racing driver René Dreyfuss. And when the Ecurie Bleue set off for the start in Stavanger, they were generally regarded as the favorites. And the Grand Prix drivers did not disappoint. Le Bègue/Quinlin win, Dreyfuss/Schell finish fifth.
