Gerhard Bodmer knows right from the start what he is getting himself into. The car with which he wants to or should win races is only just provided to him. But he has to take the rest on his own shoulders: Tuning and race preparation only after hours. Fees, bonuses, travel expenses and similar jokes are not up for discussion. At the racetracks, mainly airfields and mountain tracks, the brave "works driver" Bodmer then alternates between the role of pilot or mechanic - as required. And of course, the hard-wearing GLAS test engineer also personally chauffeurs his respective competition machine by axle from Dingolfing to the Nürburgring, to Wunstorf or Hockenheim, to Schauinsland or anywhere else. His colleague and technician Fritz Feldmann occasionally provides reinforcements.
