The end of the Procar racing series was not the end of the racing career for some BMW M1s. Sauber built two M1s according to Group 5 regulations, which raced at Le Mans in 1981. Now the former drivers Marc Surer and Dieter Quester celebrated a reunion with their car and its builder Peter Sauber. This article tells the story of this racing car and shows it in many pictures.
