The Zoute Grand Prix was held for the tenth time in Knokke-Heist from October 10 to 13, 2019. What began in 2009 as the dream of a few passionate car enthusiasts has now established itself as one of the largest and most prestigious classic car events in Europe with well over 200,000 visitors.
Varied program
In addition to the Bonhams auction, the Councours d'Elégance was also well attended despite the sometimes wet weather. The more than 75 participating vehicles were judged by a top-class panel of experts.
Bentley's birthday
To celebrate Bentley's centenary, a special class was dedicated to the brand, in which a Bentley 4.5 S/C Gurney Nutting was crowned the winner.

In addition to many pre-war vehicles, there were also more modern classics in 2019, such as an Alfa Romeo Montreal from 1973, which also won in its "Post War Preservation" class.
In addition, a BMW 635 CSi built in 1982 and a Ford Capri RS2600 Group 2 from 1971 rejuvenated the average age on the Concours parking lot.
Not suitable for the weather
A separate class was organized for the once so popular "beach cars". The class winner was a 1958 Fiat 600 Jolly in pink. However, the vehicle did not look really cheerful in the pouring rain.
Mercedes and Ferrari cleaned up
A Mercedes-Benz 540K Cabriolet A 1936 took the coveted "Best in Show" overall victory in the pre-war vehicle category.
The coveted trophy for post-war vehicles was won by a Ferrari 166 Barchetta Touring from 1949, a former Le Mans winner after all.
