After the Oldtimer Grand Prix took a break in 2018, the engines were allowed to start again in Safenwil on August 24, 2019. In addition to the Grand Prix, the new concept also offered rallies for classic cars that led through beautiful Aargau.

Before and after the rallies, the participating vehicles did their laps in small groups on the circuit in front of the Auto-Center. Spectators were able to see, hear and smell the classic cars up close - a feast for the senses for all classic car enthusiasts.
250 vehicles on the circuit
After the lunch break, the participants set off on the "Big Corso" and completed their laps of honor around the circuit.

Rarities from the past
Many unusual cars that are rarely seen at other classic car events could be observed in action, such as a Datsun 510, with which the Japanese company started its successful streak in Europe in the 1970s.

A Lotus Elite was a good example of what lightweight construction can look like.

And an Austin Ten Clifton from 1934 showed how families used to travel.

And these were just three examples of many.
Well-known presenter
The event was hosted by Salar Bahrampoori, the former presenter of the "Tacho" program on SRF. He entertained and informed visitors to the Oldtimer Grand Prix with his usual expertise.

An all-round successful event, according to many of the spectators, who are already looking forward to the next event in 2020.
