When angels travel, heaven laughs. That's a popular saying. However, the DolderClassics has little to do with angels, even if some of the radiator figures on the old cars do have wings or appear angelic. In any case, the weather played along on September 7, 2014.
Precious rarities and everyday cars
The last event of 2014 once again saw an extensive parade of old cars. Fine classics such as a Ferrari 275 GTB, an Aston Martin DB5, a Ferrari 212 or a Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing could be admired just as much as former everyday vehicles, which are almost rarer today than the aforementioned rarities, regardless of whether it is an Opel Kadett C 1200 S or an Opel Commodore from the 1970s.
The next generation is coming
What is particularly pleasing, however, is that more and more young people are coming to these meetings in the old cars of their fathers and grandfathers.
The Dolder ice rink in particular sees a mix of age groups and the event is also great fun for families with small children.
Pictures speak louder than words
Instead of a long description, however, the photos should speak for themselves in this picture gallery and some details have been deliberately documented and offered for comparison, in keeping with the motto: Diversity is fun.
Have fun.
