The D train races through the night at 110 km/h, fog and snow flurries. During the passage through the Gotthard, I turn to the other side in my narrow sleeper bed and dream of a car that has brought me, a die-hard motorist, onto this train: the new Fiat 124 Sport. The Turin Motor Show was over, Fiat had agreed to an extensive test, but time was running out: "The day after tomorrow we'll be dismantling our test track on the Turin-Ivrea highway," we were told. At Turin's main station, I am greeted by representatives of the Fiat press department, but after the initial greeting I rush to the exit because I can hardly wait to see the car that everyone is now talking about, and there it is, the Fiat 124 Sport!
