It looked as if a normal Polo had fallen into a paint bucket shortly before completion: with reduced equipment, an interior covered in body color and wheels painted in the same color, the VW Polo Fox set out at the end of 1984 to appeal to a more youthful clientele. Today, the former economy model is threatened with extinction. An enthusiast from Germany has rescued a saima green Fox from the first year of production, which illustrates this article about the long-lived special model.
