Year after year, the Wolfsburg-based company perfected its Beetle. But in 1965, the performance of the Volkswagen was increased by 18 percent. And this was just one of 22 improvements made to the tried-and-tested everyday car. No wonder the updated Beetle attracted a lot of interest at the time. And to this day, it has blossomed into a popular and sociable classic car. This driving report is dedicated to the VW 1300, which was built between 1965 and 1967. It describes the history of the model, the reviews at the time and today's driving impressions. The report is illustrated with current and historical photographs.
