In 1936, the Germans almost had the Beetle - but then changed their plans at short notice. The Austrians preferred to go mobile with the Steyr 50 and 55, affectionately known as the Baby. This article tells the story of the little Austrian and shows it in current and historical pictures, as well as in the sales literature.
