Summary
Typically, a chauffeur sat behind the wheel of a Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I, perhaps a male self-driver. But a woman? You would hardly have expected one there. But they do exist, the female self-driver! She drives the Silver Cloud out of conviction and she also maintains it herself. What a story! This report not only portrays an early SilverCloud I, it also goes into the owner's love for her unusual classic.

If the million-dollar question on Günter Jauch was about the perfect women's car and the choices were VW Beetle, Rolls Royce Silver Cloud l, Opel Corsa and Mini, then many would probably gamble away the million! Hardly anyone believes that a Rolls Royce from the 1950s can not only be driven by a woman, but also cherished and cared for. But at least for one of these stately limousines, this is exactly the case. In the summer, we met Heike at a classic car event and got talking... Since Heike's parents never had a car of their own, they probably needed to catch up. Her first car was a five-year-old VW Golf, built in 1974. The rust was literally eating away at the car, and on the very last trip to the scrapyard in 1982, the brown plague crumbled to the ground on every wave.
