The BMW 2002 Ti was half sports car, half family sedan, in any case it was fast and did not have many to fear on the highways of the time. The racing driver and journalist Paul Frère not only owned a copy himself, he also tested the car for the Austrian Auto Revue in 1971 and was generally enthusiastic, despite the criticisms he voiced. In this report, the original wording has been re-edited and illustrated with archive photos from the time.
