With the appearance of the second generation, the Opel Kadett bid farewell to its compact sportiness. With its larger, more rounded body, the new model focused much more on spaciousness and comfort than on agility and driving dynamics. Surprisingly, the suspension had nevertheless become significantly stiffer, so that the Kadett L, which appeared comfortable on the outside, was a little caught between two stools.
