Summary
Of course, not every Opel Kadett was gold-colored back then; they were available in all colors and were also popular in red or yellow. And they were available in many versions with different engines and equipment variations. The choice was enormous. But this was not the only reason why the Opel Kadett B was one of the Opel brand's most successful models. This driving report is about the Opel Kadett 1100 from 1971. It tells the model history and shows the Kadett B in current and historical images as well as in the advertising of the time.

Even the predecessor of the second post-war Kadett presented in September 1965 was successful. 650,000 Kadett A were built in three years. The VW Beetle rival impressed with its robustness, reliability and modern appearance.
