While the Nissan models that you could buy from dealers in this country in 1999 were called the Almera, Micra or Maxima and were more or less home cooking, in Japan there was the Skyline GT-R, a super sports car at a budget price, at least if you compared it with Porsche or Ferrari alternatives. From 1999 to 2002, the GT-R was called the R34 and the model achieved cult status in the movie "2 Fast 2 Furious". This report describes the R34 GT-R V-Spec and its relatives and shows them in many current and historical pictures, as well as in a movie clip.
